Since I am bored off my err socks? I shalt review [though super briefly] the G.O.M tribute gig I attended last Sunday and teh free Cd I got hurhur. I pity you foo's who didnt get it.

Scaphoids [Nahar: "Skapoids" melayu ye bang.] (Opening Band)

Great set I must say. Judging from their demo I got a year back or so.. lupa ahhh. +10 improvement. They did some Slayer covers. The vocalist needs more work on the high notes btw. hurhur.

Superb set. Though I am not that of a Helloween fan. :D

Dead Eternity (In Flames)

They did great. Although they had some problems with the amps and stuff in their latter songs, but thats alright. Best band on Sunday. Crowd was crazy. I was nearly concussed.

Jana Cova (Arch Enemy)

An all-cover set. Hmm I only got to watch a part of their set cos I had to go pick myself up after being pummeled by the moshers during DE's set. Heh. Not a bad set I must say. But they could use a second guitarist. Neez did great though.

Mirage (Iron Maiden)

Poor set. They did some not-so popular Iron Maiden covers for a change. +1 on that. But they didn't impress me at all. More practice babeh.

Dethmute (The Haunted)

I don't think they did even cover a song by The Haunted. Boon (sound man) did some tweaks with the sound. Hidzir: "Eh mampat seyy". An ok-ok set. Didn't really pulled off the Fear Factory cover they did.

Spellbound (Iron Maiden)

The better Iron Maiden tribut0r. Typical Spellbound high octaned performance though I didn't see any five star frog splashes.

Yakamashii (Blind Guardian)

Mediocre. I expected a better performance from these guys. Vocals were poor. Crowd was half-assed. Though I got to screw around with Ifran and co. a bit. Heh. But I was impressed by their cover of Speed of Light. Singing while sweeping?! w00t.

Meltgsnow (Rammstein)

Great set. Dannie didnt screw up a syllable of German. But hmm.. he didn't sound like Till Lindemann. Dannie sounded more like Finntroll's vocalist. Lol. So theres kinda like a hybrid there. Overall.. they did pretty good. The vibe was changed here. Their guest keyboardist did great too.

Beast Petrify (Kreator)

Impressive.. but they can do a lot better if they can find a bassist and a second guitarist. THAT WILL BLOW THE SHIT OUT OF ME. I WOULD DEFINITELY 'MARK' THEM OUT AND BE THEIR BITCH. They have the potential to be the Necrophagist, Spiral Architect etc. of Singapore man. But hurhur. The guitars weren't that clean. They did a 45 minute cacophonus concertotrannus tyrannosaurus king size song which was weird and fucking technical. If only, [read above].
